AUGUSTINE M. RODRIGUEZ, ESQ.


Augustine M. Rodriguez was born in California and was raised in New Mexico.  He earned his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1997 and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Idaho State University.


Augustine M. Rodriguez has been practicing law in New Mexico since 1997.  Mr. Rodriguez began his professional career as a chemical engineer working for the Department of Energy in 1991. After finishing his master’s degree in Environmental Engineering in 1995, Mr. Rodriguez decided to attend the University of New Mexico School of Law. Mr. Rodriguez legal career began as an associate with Peacock, Myers & Adams, P.C., an Albuquerque patent law office, where Mr. Rodriguez focused on complex patent and trademark litigation. Mr. Rodriguez is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office as a patent attorney.


In 1999 Mr. Rodriguez began his private practice and has litigated many civil and criminal cases throughout New Mexico. To ensure that his clients receive the best possible representation, Mr. Rodriguez focuses on excelling in trial practice and has successfully litigated many cases in domestic relations, criminal defense, civil rights, and personal injury.  Mr. Rodriguez is licensed to practice in both State and Federal court and has handled cases all over the State of New Mexico.

  

In addition to his civil and criminal practice Mr. Rodriguez has litigated cases for clients who have had their civil rights violated by law enforcement.  Mr. Rodriguez has successfully sued police officers, police departments, jails and governmental entities.  Mr. Rodriguez has also represented inmates who have had their civil rights violated, including several inmates who were sexually and physically assaulted by jail employees while they were incarcerated.
